TOUGHER laws on guns in the wake of the Hungerford massacre were due to be unveiled by Home Secretary Douglas Hurd.
He was also expected to announce a date for a firearms amnesty.
Suggested reforms included a ban on Rambo-style semi-automatic rifles, tighter controls on pump-action and self-loading shotguns and compulsory photo-identity passes for gun owners.
