A photographic exhibition exploring the world of dance is on display at Lancaster's Ludus Dance Centre.

Local dancers feature in the work of photographer Sarah Jones, who is staging her exhibition throughout November and December at the Ludus studio.

Sarah, 26, from Manchester, originally worked in advertising for but has sinced specialised in portrait and dance photography.

Her art has been inspired by the work she did for the Brewery Arts in Kendal and she has photographed 'The Ludus Dancers' on location. She says: "I enjoy dance photography and finds it exciting and challenging. I like being able to watch the dancers express their energy so creatively in such a beautiful and stunning way."

Sarah said she loves being able to observe the designers creating garments for the dancers, and then seeing how the choreographer forms ideas into movement.
