THE reasons the pro-hunting fraternity gives to justify hunting are risible.
Of course, foxes are blood-thirsty little killers, but that does not justify me in being equally bloodthirsty and hounding them to death for the fun of it.
Perhaps foxes are vermin and should be exterminated, but obviously the foxhunting fraternity has no desire to kill off too many foxes.
There would be none left to hunt, and they would have to put down all their hounds and horses.
I find the hypocrisy of the pro-hunting fraternity the most sickening part of the whole business. The hounding of foxes and stags gives the lie to the belief that the British are a nation of animal lovers. Even the Nazis banned hunting with hounds.
