A CAMPAIGN group set up to oppose plans to build a controversial wind farm on Darwen Moors will ask Janet Anderson to take their fight to Parliament. Members of Darwen Moors Wind Farm Opposition Group collected more than 1,200 signatures in a petition on Saturday and now they want their MP to take it to the House of Commons
Mrs Anderson has already publicly backed the campaign against PowerGen's plans to build the wind farm - where turbines could be three times as tall as the nearby Jubilee Tower.
Campaign member Julian Donnelly said: "We will be holding another petition before Christmas and at some stage will present all the signatures we have collected to the council while Janet Anderson will present them before Parliament. But all we can do now is wait for PowerGen to submit its planning application before we can take any further action."
PowerGen insists it will listen to residents views before submitting a planning application. But if it gets permission to build the farm up to 15 wind turbines could be built on White Hill, near Lord's Hall.
