FAGAN thieves have set the scene for a miserable Christmas for a Westleigh man who is 95 percent disabled.
For they made off with David Warburton's personal TV and video after forcing a side window at the special facility for the disabled, on Sunday evening.
It means David, 53, who has been in Chisworth Close for three years, will now have no way of keeping himself entertained.
His only pleasure in life is watching his TV set or looking through the window at the facility where carers look after five disabled men.
His brother Peter said: "There are really sick people out there that have no respect for other peoples property. How anyone could stoop so low as to deprive my brother of such small pleasures in life I don't know."
And Peter's wife, Audrey, added: "I hope he gets his TV back and I hope these thieves have some conscience when they know what they have done.
"Without his TV set David has nothing to keep him occupied, and with 95 percent disability his pleasures in life are little enough as it is."
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Leigh Police on 0161 872 5050.
