THE government is about to build bigger and better hospitals to accommodate murderers, who will be attended by costly psychiatrists.

These hospitals will also provide comfortable warm, clean accommodation, good meals, exercise and entertainment.

There are also further provision being made to house criminals who, we are told, are expected to increase in numbers.

This can only mean that this government is no better than the last.

An MP is trying to introduce a private bill in support of animal rights.

Should he not have much more serious matters to attend to?

What do he and his supporters have to say about the increasing work of the RSPCA?

How come there is always monies found to waste on scoundrels, but not for coastguards, firemen, ambulance and such life-saving organisations?

There is no one answer for reduction in crime, not spanking children - although that is appropriate occasionally - or threatening parents.

The public has suffered for too long as a result of parliament failing to do what the vast majority voted for.

It cost at least five times the basic pension to cosset these evil-doers in their country houses, holiday camps, and so on.

The money should be used to benefit the aged and the infirm.

We have just remembered those who lost their lives in defence of our lawful society, freedom and homes.

Those things have been taken away. But the solution to this is not to fill more prisons.

This is not the answer. The only answer is to reintroduce the death penalty. I trust local MPs read this newspaper. J. Robinson,
