Results from weekend of November 22/23
LONGSHAW ST R 18 WARRIORS U9s 48
WARRIORS were soon on the rampage with Jamie MacMillan running in two tries in good style, while Richard Brown had a further four tries and a conversions to the scoresheet. Man of the match, Craig Hewlett also had a good game with three tries and a conversion. Luke Towart and Lee Connick also had a try each, with Lee adding a conversion. Carl Weller and Tom Perry added their conversions to this win which the team richly deserved.
WATERHEAD 24 WARRIORS U11s 16
IN the first half Warriors produced their best rugby of the season with Neel Byrom, Matthew Astley and Greg Fishwick scoring tries. Conversion points were added by Daniel Fletcher and Neel Byrom. In the second half a rejuvenated Waterhead, aided by some indecisive play by Warriors, stole the game. A good all-round team performance with a good display from man of the match Paul Warren. Top tackler with 21 tackler was Peter Clark and particular note to player of distinction Neel Byrom.
SALAM HORNETS 16 WARRIORS U12s 48
AN excellent all round game with good attacking and defending. Tries from captain Stuart Brown, James Franklin, Jamie Jackson, Tony Farrimond and Wes Loram. Conversions by John Key, Wes Loram, Stuart Brown. An excellent all-round display by man of the match Jamie Jackson, with runner-up being Farrimond. Top tackler was Daniel Fell.
HEMEL HEMPSTEAD 4 WARRIORS U13s 34
WARRIORS played some outstanding running rugby with some exceptional tackling. Warriors came out winners with tries from Graham Lafferty, Mark Richards, Paul Lorenzen, Lofthouse, Lee Beattie and Danny Gazel. Man of the match was Stuart Quinn with top tackler awarded to Lee Beattie.
HEMEL HEMPSTEAD 34 WARRIORS U14s 12
LEYLAND Warriors lost at home to the visitors Hemel Hempstead despite the efforts of man of the match Paul Brown, try scorers Gary Watts and Leigh Byrom.
HINDLEY 24 WARRIORS U15s 28
WARRIORS remain unbeaten at home this season after beating Hindley. In a very physical game, Warriors led from the start to finish. It took a determined effort in defence to keep out Hindley, especially as Warriors played most of the game with only 12 players.
