PENDLE MP Gordon Prentice wants a review of where low-flying military jets are allowed to venture.
He is asking Defence Secretary George Robertson to review the boundaries of the UK's low flying zones for jets when the Commons has its next parliamentary session on defence questions, due on December 1.
Mr Prentice says a lot of people in Pendle have been upset by the current flight paths which involve low flying over built-up areas.
He has already quizzed defence minister John Spellar and top brass in the MOD about the issue.
Mr Prentice said: "Over the years we have seen a number of near misses where fast jets have got into trouble and have come down yards from schools and houses."
