AFTER 30 years of traditional Gang Shows it looks as if this year's variety show by St Helens Scouts could be in trouble - unless someone out there is able to help.
At the moment the cast of 70 children and 24 adults have a script, supporting crew and rehearsal rooms, as well as three performance dates at the Theatre Royal on April 2, 3 and 4 next year. But they are lacking one piece of vital equipment which could put the whole show in jeopardy.
The scouts desperately need a piano. For the past few years they have made do with an old electronic keyboard but that can no longer pump out sufficient volume to accompany the ever-increasing cast of the traditional Gang Show.
The youngsters are appealing to anyone who may have an unused piano and would like to give it to a worthy cause to contact them and in return the donating family will receive family VIP tickets for the show. The scouts will also arrange transport to pick up the piano.
Anyone who may be able to help can contact Martin Owen on (01744) 894139, or musical director Jackie Wilkinson on (01744) 886312.
