DENTAL surgeon Mike Taylor has put his hands right in the lions' den.
And a front row fracas in Saturday's Rugby Union international between England and New Zealand could have led to emergency treatment in his Tyldesley surgery.
Staunch Tyldesley RUFC man Mike, ex-club secretary, youth coach and now referees' assessor, was at Old Trafford on Saturday in case any All Blacks needed emergency dental attention.
Four years ago Mike was on the New Zealand bench when the All Blacks played the North of England at Anfield. On that occasion he fitted team members with custom gum shields.
But last weekend he was on standby to whisk any All Blacks to his Tyldesley surgery should dental attention be needed.
Following England's defeat he said this week:"It was quite a nice day out and there were no problems. I think England played quite well and may have done better had Catt landed those easy kicks at goal."
