SARAH Wood smashed four records at Tyldesley Swimming Club's 121st annual gala.
Swimming in the U11s events, Sarah broke records in the 50m backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle events.
Samantha Thompson also broke the old record for second place in the backstroke, as did Kasha Hampson and Michelle Greensmith in the freestyle and backstroke respectively.
The other record breaker was Richard Hampson in the gent's open age butterfly.
He beat Philip Stout by one hundredth of a second.
The schools' event saw Fred Longworth and St Mary's battling for top honours.
In the boys' 4x50m freestyle event, Fred Longworth's blue team finished 1st, red team 2nd, St Mary's 3rd.
The tables were turned in the girls' event, St Mary's winning, Fred Longworth runners-up.
RICHARD Hampson was in cracking form at the recent Northern Counties Championships at Everton Park.
In the junior section, the 16 year-old won the 100m and 200m butterfly, and finished 3rd in the 50m fly and free.
He also finished 3rd in the 100m and 200m fly in the senior section.
Other swimmers taking part: Kelly Banner, Stuart Carlisle, Dominic Derbyshire, Samantha Greensmith, Matthew Hampson, Khalid Jhugroo, Stephanie Thompson and Kate Ward.
Also held during the championships were the semi-finals and finals of the Derbyshire Memorials (breaststroke) in which 12 year olds Stephanie Thompson and Khalid Jhugroo took part. Khalid finished 7th.
SARAH Wood was the only Tyldesley swimmer to take part in the recent Robin Hood Sprint Gala at Ponds Forge Pool in Sheffield.
She swam PBs to take silver in the 50m backstroke and butterfly events, and she also finished 5th in the 50m freestyle and 12th in the 50m breaststroke.
TYLDESLEY won the Central Lancashire Junior Jubilee final.
With home pool advantage, they finished on 124 points beating Ashton Central 112, Stalybridge 100 and Trafford 81.
They will now represent Central Lancashire, with Ashton Central, in an Inter-Association gala against teams from Manchester & District and Bolton & District.
