Christmas came early for Rachael Culloden who won Metrolink's 'Design a Christmas Card' competition.
The nine-year-old pupil from Ribble Drive County Primary School, Whitefield, was surprised when Cheryl Bevan, press officer for Metrolink, came to the school to announce her as the competition winner. Rachae, pictured, was presented with a PlayStation in her classroom.
"It was a delight to see her face. She looked so surprised that it made it all worthwhile," said Cheryl.
"The standard was very high but we felt Rachael's entry was just right for Metrolink. It was futuristic and so colourful."
Rachael's design was chosen out of 94 entries. It will be used as Metrolink's official Christmas card and be sent to more than 500 companies.
"It is great. I love my new PlayStation. I can't wait to go home and try it," said Rachael.
