PAST and present members of Golborne St Thomas' Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society attended a Festal Evensong on Sunday to celebrate 50 years of music and drama.
The service at St Thomas's coincided with St Cecelia's Day, the patron saint of music, and was conducted by the Rev. Richard Plant, president of STADOS and the vicar at St Thomas'.
Nancy Wells, musical director of the society, played the organ while members formed the choir to lead the singing of the congregation.
Ken Webb, North West Regional Representative of the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) addressed the congregation while Freda Thompson, the wardrobe mistress for STADOS and Audrey Lord, secretary and wardrobe mistress, read the Lessons.
