TYLDESLEY St John Ambulance Brigade are fighting back!
The group are holding a Fun Night to raise cash after thieves robbed Divisional Treasurer Marjorie McDonald of £400 last month.
The Miners Welfare Club in Gin Pit Village is hosting the event on Friday, December 5, featuring Dr. Dicks Karaoke.
The local community were incensed at the theft and the club and the DJ have donated the room and services free of charge.
Marjorie commented: "We hope to have a good turnout for the event and hope it will raise enough money to cover what was stolen. The local community have been marvellous and very supportive of St John's Ambulance and myself personally.
"I am still in shock from the robbery and I sincerely thank everyone everyone who has offered to help."
