Bradford City Reserves 1 Burnley Reserves 4
BURNLEY Reserves took a giant step to qualify for the knockout stages of the Pontin's League Cup last night at Valley Parade, Bradford.
A strong Burnley line-up dominated the game and Mark Winstanley headed the Clarets into the lead after only five minutes.
Ex-City player Richard Huxford added the second on 18 minutes with an excellent low drive from fully 30 yards which beat the driving Bates in the Bantams goal.
The Clarets made it three early in the second period after Michael Williams linked well with Kevin Henderson to calmly slot past the Bradford keeper.
Bradford pulled a goal back on 77 minutes when Blake squared across the area for Bolland to fire home unmarked.
The Clarets latest recruit Henderson sealed a fine Clarets victory 10 minutes from time heading home a Little cross after good work by Robertson on the right.
