OXFORD UNITED striker Nigel Jemson has turned down the chance to join Bury.
The Shakers had a £100,000 bid for the 28-year-old former Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday star accepted by the crisis-torn U's but the player said no.
Jemson who scored 23 goals last season is out of contract at the end of the season and Oxford are desperate to sell to ease their financial problems. They put their entire squad on the market at the end of last week.
