A BLAZE which gutted a popular school sports pavilion was under investigation.
Father Kevin O'Neill, principal of St Mary's College, Blackburn, said the fire was a "big blow for the school" and confirmed the pavilion would cost "many thousands" to replace.
The pavilion had recently been refurbished by members of the old boys' association.
Converted for the new archive on 14 July 2000. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
