DARWEN MP Janet Anderson has published a new analysis of how government money will be spent on her constituency's health services.
She revealed that next year the East Lancashire Health Authority will receive an extra £12,258,000 from the government - a share of £1.2 billion given to the NHS nationwide.
She also emphasised that the health authority has already received £660,000 this year, to cope with the winter rush, and £85,000 to pay for local breast cancer treatment.
Mrs Anderson said: "When I asked local people to vote for me in the General Election, I promised that Labour would rebuild the NHS. We are keeping that promise.
"We will shortly be publishing our plans for the NHS in a new White Paper."
She added: "But it's not just new plans that we want. It's hard cash. And we are giving extra hard cash to the health service in the East Lancashire Health Authority's area.
