WORKERS had a lucky escape when fire tore through a mill in Clitheroe town centre.
Nearly 100 employees had to be evacuated from Bowker Brothers, Lowergate, after the blaze broke out in machinery.
Fire crews from Accrington, Clitheroe and Great Harwood were called to fight the flames, which had been brought under control by sprinklers.
