CHRISTMAS has come early for one man who scooped £100,000 at the bookies.
The family man, who has asked not to be named, collected his winnings from Stanley Racing on Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe, on Tuesday after a nail-biting weekend.
"He correctly predicted the result of 15 football matches. Although 13 were played on Saturday, (November 29) he was sweating a bit waiting for the results of the two Sunday matches," said betting shop manager Mrs Betty Marshall.
The lucky punter had miscalculated his winnings and was expecting about £8,000. Needless to say, it was a pleasant shock when he found out the true amount.
"He deserved to win because he's a regular customer and one of our most polite and well-liked, said Mrs Marshall. "We're all very glad for him."
