ADRIAN Lomonaco will play through the pain barrier this weekend as Lancashire Hawks go in search of more festive cheer.

Lomonaco has a fractured finger, but it won't stop the Canadian sharpshooter facing up to Fife Flyers - home and away - in the Christmas Cup.

A trip to Scotland tomorrow is quickly followed by a return at the Arena on Sunday night (face off 6pm).

Last weekend's double victory in the tournament leaves Hawks flying high on top of the table, but manager Mike Cockayne is leaving nothing to chance.

"We must work to maintain our performance," he said. "We finally hit top gear after a disappointing start to the season, but it's important we don't let off the throttle."

Hawks will miss defenceman Neil Abel with a broken foot.
