WHEN the Tories were in power, Hyndburn's council leader constantly told the electors to blame the government for the state of the council's spending power.
Now New Labour are the government, what does he say about the proposed increase of at least six per cent in Council Tax?
For me, this means an increase of some £60, plus an increase in my income tax.
Perhaps the council will now curtail its so-called traffic-calming measures.
