CONGRATULATIONS to Pendle MP Gordon Prentice on his stand along with the other Labour rebels against the benefit cuts to single mothers.
It is a shame that other local MPs couldn't have been persuaded to vote against this iniquitous measure.
I am a Labour party member and didn't vote to get benefit cut for the poor members of our society.
What will it be next? Cuts against the disabled allowances and so on?
So I applaud the Labour MPs who took this stand against the government, remembering the MPs recently voted themselves a high salary.
Is it hypocrisy or what?
