A WOMAN has denied allegations of harassment including one alleging that she sent a parcel by post containing human ashes.
Ann Ashurst, aged 49, of Durban Street, Atherton, is accused under the Protection from Harassment Act, 1997, with making abusive gestures toward Leslie Ashurst in a local pub, the Jolly Nailor.
The charge further alleges she followed him by car in Bolton Road, Atherton, and that she made more abusive gestures towards him in Bag Lane, Atherton.
The charge also alleges he received by post a parcel and a note which claimed the parcel contained part of his son's ashes.
The case was adjourned by Leigh magistrates until a trial date can be arranged.
