A PUB is celebrating after being named as the top watering hole for Rovers fans on their way to the match of the day.
According to national football magazine Tackle!, The Aqueduct, on Bolton Road, Blackburn, is tops when it comes to serving a tipple to keep fans warm ahead of 90 minutes of football.
Landlord Mr Lawrence Theaker said he was surprised by the announcement. He told the Citizen: "We are a pub which has always been popular with the locals, especially on match days.
"We tend to get a lot of families in here and we have a good atmosphere before games.
"We also have an Ewood Blues room for all those who belong to the unofficial Rovers support club.
"Along with Shamus O'Donnells, we are very busy on match days.
"That could be because we don't take away fans in."
