TWO young boys have been left heartbroken after thieves stole their Christmas tree.
Joshua McKinley (4) and his brother Kane (1) had spent ages trimming the 6ft tree which stood in the front garden of their home in Raven Street, Bury.
But on Saturday morning they woke up to find that thieves had brought nothing but festive misery.
They had cut through the electric wires which ran to the house to work the lights, and took the tree.
Their mother, Mrs Adele McKinley said: "The boys are very upset about it. They spent hours decorating it with tinsel, coloured balls and bulbs.
"They plugged it in every day and sat at the window watching it."
Mrs McKinley added: "I only hope that maybe someone might feel guilty and bring it back."
