BURY and Bradford City face disciplinary action after an astonishing stoppage time brawl marred Saturday's game at Valley Parade.
Referee Graham Frankland will be reporting both clubs to the FA for 'general misconduct' following the incident which involved around 20 players and officials of both clubs.
When the dust settled the Middlesbrough-based official sent off both Bury's Peter Swan and City's Brazilian ace Edinho, as well as showing Shakers 'keeper Dean Kiely a yellow card.
Amazingly, it was a perfecly fair tackle by Bury debutant Tony Ellis on Edinho that sparked off the free-for-all.
The Brazilian's theatrical reaction to the challenge incensed the Bury players and Swan appeared to kick the ball at the City man while he was on the floor.
THE FA yesterday (December 18) confirmed that they have received referee Graham Frankland's report on last Saturday's brawl and will now be looking at video evidence before deciding what action, if any, to take.
