THE son of an Accrington pensioner allowed home from hospital with a broken neck does not plan to take the matter any further.
But Colin Sagar said today he hoped lessons will be learned from his father's tragic death.
A coroner this week recorded an accidental death verdict on 79-year-old Frederick Sagar, of Fairfield Street, Accrington.
Mr Sagar, who had fallen down the stairs of a double decker bus, was examined at Accrington Victoria Community Hospital and allowed home.
He later collapsed and died the following day in Blackburn Infirmary.
His son Colin, of Fern Gore Avenue, Accrington, said: "I'm just glad it's all over. I'm not planning to take it any further.
"But maybe now it's been in the newspapers and on the television the hospital will be a little more careful in future about sending people home."
