WITH reference to the views of Walt Meadows (LET, December 11) some of us are increasingly bored by his pearls of wisdom.
Most are a mixture of spite and a lack of common sense.
The spite seems to have commenced on at May 1, 1997.
To compare man's propensity for fatal indiscretions, ability to abuse his body to extremes, accidents and misadventures with the nightmarish possibility, or, rather, probability, of thousands dying of CJD is completely nonsensical.
He also seems to doubt the validity of the scientists' findings.
I am not aware that he has been seen wearing a white coat, but if he doesn't watch it men in white coats will come looking for him.
