AS the year comes to a close, I look back on my one-man crusade to get the area where I live cleaned up.
Unfortunately, nothing has changed in spite of the many letters you have kindly published and phone calls to councillors, etc.
Things have gradually got worse.
The fields on Ribblesdale Place, Blackburn, are still used as a tip and the back street next to my house is all trimmed up for Christmas with a smashed TV and mattress.
The derelict shop on Saunders Road has been broken into again and should be on fire again any day.
Still, it's nice that, in this fast-changing world, some things never change.
SAN SPENCE, Ribblesdale Place, Blackburn.
