A MAN who served as coroner for 32 years has died after a long illness.
Mr George Graham, 67, who suffered from Parkinson's disease, had been living at the Rowans Nursing Home, Whalley New Road, Roe Lee, Blackburn.
He died peacefully in his sleep at 10.50pm last night.
Mr Graham and his wife Margaret, who acted as his assistant, had to investigate some of the biggest murder cases, appalling disasters, accidents and suicides Lancashire has ever seen.
He retired in December 1992.
