DAVID Trippier pulled the wrapping off Blackburn's biggest Christmas present for more than 20 years.
The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of the Environment unveiled a £30 million package to rescue and revitalise run-down areas of the town.
The MP for Rossendale and Darwen said: "I have always wanted to play Father Christmas but no-one has asked me before."
