THE great game of football is being bled dry by the crazy wage demands of players and the sheer greed of the football club.

The lifeblood of every club, the supporters, are being ripped off and many of them, walking around like advertising hoardings, don't even realise it.

It's scandalous that sponsors are paying millions to clubs to advertise their logos, and the supporters are paying up to £60 for the privilege of wearing shirts with them on.

You can keep your superstars, season tickets and those multi-coloured kits with great big adverts across the front.

Come on, you once-proud clubs, stop being dictated to by the likes of Sky and the conglomerates.

Get back to real football, with real football kits, and give the supporters some respite from the constant exploitation which will squeeze the average supporters to the point of losing them completely

And who will be paying the wages then?

ROB HARDING, Clevedon Road, Blackpool.
