WHAT a pity it was that the Christmas concert by Blackburn and Darwen Brass Band at the Leisure Centre in Darwen on December 14 was so poorly advertised.
It deserved a much greater audience, for the quality of the band was high and the programme choice was quite entertaining and well selected.
I know of several people who would have liked to attend had they known the date as they had attended for several years past.
I hope that next year the band will again present their Christmas concert and that the organisers will publicise the event more widely.
This is one that should not be allowed to die out. We are fortunate to have such a band.
G M PICKLES (Mrs), Highercroft Road, Lower Darwen.
