IN 58 years of watching the Rovers, I have never seen a team outplayed as much as Palace and steal and point.

But to put the blame on Steve Patrick is unfair.

Why were the Palace subs and trainer allowed to churn up the Darwen End at half time stopping Steve and his gang from doing their usual repair job.

Maybe Steve Coppell remembered the collywobble of last year.

JAMES WEARDEN, Thwaites Road, Oswaldtwistle

I WAS amazed to hear Mr Hodgson's comments implying that the groundsman was in some way to blame for the second goal.

Every team gets a bad bounce now and again as Mr Hodgson must realise. I consider the groundsmen prepare a magnificent surface week in, week out and it must be one of the best in the country.
