A TELEVISION engineer inundated with requests for repairs to aerials after the Christmas Eve storm is appealing for calm from irate customers.
David Dugdale of Dugdale's TV and Satellite in Chatburn Road, Clitheroe, has received 87 calls after aerials were damaged in the gale force winds.
Hundreds were left without television after aerials were brought crashing to the ground.
And they are getting irate because TV engineers across the area can't cope with the workload, says Mr Dugdale.
"The phone has never stopped ringing since the strong winds on Christmas Eve.
"It is the worst I have seen in 34 years in the trade. One repair firm in Burnley is booked up to January 19.
"People are getting cross because we can't attend to them straight away. I have had 87 calls alone and have so far dealt with 30. All I can do is ask people to be patient."
A spokesman for Blackburn Aerials in Openshaw Drive said the firm was also "extremely busy" dealing with requests for repairs to aerials.
