CHILDREN from Whittlefield County Primary School, Burnley, are getting ready to appear on stage with the Abba tribute band Voulez Vous.

The band, which has performed Abba hits such as "Dancing Queen", "Money Money Money'', "Waterloo'' and "Mama Mia'' at venues all over the world, will be presenting a spectacular concert at Burnley Mechanics on Friday, February 6.

And they have invited a choir from Whittlefield School to take part.

The youngsters will appear alongside Voulez Vous as special guests on the hit ballad "I Have a Dream''.

The appearance has been organised by band manager Lee James, the Mechanics and teachers at the school.

Mechanics' marketing and publicity manager Jacqui Livesey explained: "When we booked the show last year, Voulez Vous's manager mentioned that occasionally the band had performed with children from a local school.

"It was a charming idea so we approached Whittlefield and they were pleased to accept.

"The song "I Have a Dream'' is a lovely one and perfect for young voices.

"The children have been practising hard for the show and I hope their appearance on the Mechanics' stage will be a really enjoyable occasion for them.''

The show will be on Friday, February 6, at 8pm. Tickets are available from the ticket office on 01282-430055.
