POLICE have revealed that Burnley teenager Christopher Hartley was probably wearing a distinctive gold earring on the day he died.

Christopher's dismembered body was found in a bin outside a Blackpool hotel nine days ago.

The missing head has still not been found.

DI Simon Leach said it was thought that Christopher, 17, would have been wearing a small gold earring with the word Fila on it.

Tomorrow they hope to release photographs of a wallet identical to the one Christopher was carrying.

Christopher, of Helston Close, Burnley, moved to Blackpool eight months ago to find work.
