GOVERNORS were crying "foul" over a £163,000 award to a Nelson high school.
The protest was from a rival school which lost out in the same chase for funding. Southlands High School, Chorley, wanted education chiefs to block the money going to Edge End High School for technology teaching.
Southlands was the only one of four Lancashire schools short-listed for the cash which was unsuccessful.
