REGARDING your report (LET, January 1) about the lady having problems getting a ramp at her house for her wheelchair, I can feel for her as I, too, am in a chair. I can, however, get out in mine as I now live in a flat, but I know the council has only got a certain amount of money budgeted for these things each year. They can't pretend to do everything at once.
I am waiting for repairs to my property, but, like everybody else, have to wait my turn.
I know it seems like we wait for ever, but things get done in their turn or according to priority.
I feel for the council sometimes as we all think that we should have our repairs done first.
People should ask themselves whether they like the job of the person who puts these things into priority - because I wouldn't, not for £1,000 a week.
