DAVID Moyes takes charge of his first game as Preston's new manager tonight just 24 hours after taking over from Gary Peters.
And the Scottish defender, who has played around 150 games for Preston since arriving from Hamilton four seasons ago, isn't expecting an easy ride in the Auto Windscreens second round clash at Macclesfield.
Moyes cause isn't helped by the fact that he will be without top scorer Lee Ashcroft who continues to struggle with hamstring problems.
And skipper Sean Gregan will also sit it out as he opens up a two-match suspension.
"Not the game you would have selected for your first one" admitted Moyes. "But I've waited a long time for my opportunity and it's an honour to have got it at a club like Preston.
"Every time I go out onto the pitch I give everything I've got and I'll expect nothing less from my team."
