ALMOST one in three company directors in the region have been involved with at least one failed company, it has been revealed.
And the North West is a blackspot for 'serial failure' directors who have several company collapses behind them.
Figures compiled by business information company Experian also found that women company directors were more likely to have a number of business failures on their record.
"Being involved in a company failure is not necessarily a sign that you are fraudulent," stressed Peter Brooker of Experian.
"But it has to be asked if someone with a series of failures behind them should be allowed to run companies.
"An alarming 2,279 male and 363 females directors have had more than ten failures each."
