AN urgent appeal has been issued to find dog lovers who can help an elderly woman exercise her much-loved pet.
The pensioner from Clayton-le-Moors called on the assistance of a national charity after becoming unable to take her labrador for regular walks.
The Cinnamon Trust hopes to arrange a rota of people to take the dog for daily outings and wants to hear from anybody who can help.
The trust helps elderly and terminally ill people and their pets by calling on a network of volunteers when any aspect of day-to-day care poses a problem.
To help, or volunteer for other areas in East Lancashire ring 01736 757900.
