ARE you lonesome tonight? Are you all shook up after Christmas?
Then why not check out Preston's new Elvis Presley Fan Club which has its first meeting this month.
Bamber Bridge man Paul Turner has been mad about The King since he was nine. Now aged 30, he has launched the new branch to compare notes with other fanatics, kicking off with a special showing of unseen concert footage, home videos and a disco.
Paul said: "When I was younger my friends were into Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and Bros but where are these groups now?
"Elvis has had an album in the charts for the past six months and he is still awarded platinum and gold discs for record sales."
Paul also plans to organise a trip to a huge Elvis event in Leicester featuring family and friends of the singer, tribute bands and celebrities. He may even make a trek to his idol's American home of Gracelands later this year which is the 21st anniversary of Elvis's death.
The Preston group has already been given the seal of approval by Elvis Presley Enterprises, run by the legend's wife Priscilla and daughter Lisa Marie.
It will meet at the Band Club on Station Road, Bamber Bridge. Contact Paul on 01772 467587.
