LANCASHIRE Kestrels were given an official send off from the Mayor of Blackburn as they prepare to embark on a 10-day tour of Canada.
The young hockey side, who are currently soaring high in the junior league, presented Councillor Peter Greenwood with a team photograph.
And Coun Greenwood handed over a civic gift to be presented to the Mayor of Missisaugai where the team will be based.
During the tour, which begins on February 12, the Kestrels will play a host of local sides based around Toronto.
