FIREFIGHTERS were called out to Liverpool St Helens Rugby Football Club in Moss Lane over the weekend when the roof of the clubhouse caught fire. The blaze was reported at about 3.45pm on Sunday, January 4 and five per cent of the roofing timber was destroyed by the flames. The loft area was also damaged by smoke.
