A MAN who held a 77-year-old woman at knifepoint before stealing her handbag and car has been jailed for seven years and three months.
Steven Joyce (26) of Hillside Avenue, Windelhurst, was found guilty at Liverpool Crown Court of robbery and burglary.
The victim wept in the witness box as she recalled the day she was held up in Kwik Save car park, Boundary Road, as she got into her car.
And the court also heard that a week later a woman sleeping downstairs in a house in Princess Avenue, Windlehurst, was woken by a noise to be confronted by Joyce leaning over her who fled when she screamed. Joyce denied both offences.
