A £7.6 million investment ready for production of components for the Eurofighter at an East Lancashire aerospace factory is nearly complete.
The high tech tooling facility at British Aerospace's Samlesbury site will produce some of the most complex tools ever produced by the firm which will be used for production of carbon fibre components.
"The whole facility has been specifically designed to meet the exacting standards and tolerances required for production of modern aircraft and includes upgraded engineering techniques and cutting edge, computerised technology," said Samlesbury site director Phill Blundell.
"Being just one part of the overall investment on the site it ensures we stay at the forefront of an ever competitive market."
