SOCCER fan Stephen Taylor is today expecting a special award when he holds an open day at his general store in Colne.
The Carling Premiership Trophy, Britain's premier soccer 'pot', will be on display at his re-vamped Keighley Road shop and scores of people are expected to go along to look at it.
"I won't say it is the nearest the trophy will ever come to Burnley, but it has been suggested," said the 40-year-old Clarets fan.
The Premiership Trophy is coming from Old Trafford because Stephen has signed up with buying and services group Londis, who have arranged to bring the award to Colne to help him re-launch his refurbished store.
Stephen, who has owned the shop for 15 years, promises a fun open day, with prizes, competitions and lots of things to eat.
