CUTS of more than £500,000 will be made in the budget for Blackburn with Darwen's museums and leisure service over the next six months.
Councillors will decide where the savings will be made at a leisure, sport and community services committee meeting on Wednesday.
Part of the savings will include the closure of Blackburn's existing Lewis Textile Museum but further details are not being released by the council until tomorrow evening's meeting when decisions on them will be made.
The cuts are, however, expected to hit leisure centres, libraries and the borough's parks.
